The idea of an International Day of Yoga was first proposed by the current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. He stated: Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition.

Physical activity, exercise, or yoga๐Ÿง˜‍♀️can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases like type 2 diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. Physical activity, exercise, and yoga๐Ÿง˜‍♀️ can have immediate and long-term health benefits. Most importantly, regular activity can improve your quality of life.
